Recent redecorating in the Kettle Valley subdivision is not pleasing most of the residents.  The area has fallen prey to vandals, most likely youth, who have taken to hanging out on Main Street and the school on nights and week-ends.  Businesses on Main Street, including the gym and the restaurant, along with street signs and power boxes were targeted.  A large mural-type tag was painted on the south side of Chute Lake School and the walls on the portables have been dented.  Unlocked vehicles have been entered with unknown contents being stolen.    If you have any knowledge of those involved with this defacement, please send in your anonymous tip.  Crime Stoppers, in partnership with the City of Kelowna, offers a $500 reward for graffiti tips leading to an arrest or charges.

If you know anything about this crime, or any other crime, call the Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tips line at 1-800-222-TIPS or visit our website at www.crimestoppers.net.    Your information will be kept confidential and could lead to a reward of up to $2000.00.

RCMP FILE:  2017-60037

A vigilant neighbour on Sunset Ranch Drive in Kelowna spotted a suspicious looking character around noon on October 3rd.  The male, approximately 25-years-old wearing a tracksuit and a colourful hat and gloves, was seen walking on the fence line at his neighbour’s property. He hopped the fence and came out with a suitcase a short time later and departed in a white 4-door Chevy or Impala car with distinct chrome rims and no license plate.  He left the area towards Anderson Road at a high rate of speed.  The homeowners returned home after being gone for only a couple of hours to discover a rear window had been smashed and the home had been rifled through.  A wallet, some jewellery and loose change were missing.
