CRIME: RESIDENTIAL BREAK AND ENTER

Residents of a Lake Country home on the 3300 block of Woodsdale Road returned home on July 31st at 1:20 p.m. and noticed that a window at the rear of the home had been opened. A suspect had gained entry by prying open the window with a shovel and pushing the screen in. They discovered an iPad (s/n DN6GG1GQDFJ0) missing and also two HP laptops, an Eddie Bauer laptop bag, several thumb drives, a few pairs of sunglasses and prescription glasses and three bottle of 100th Meridian Beer taken from the fridge. One of the HP laptops had black electrical tape securing a hinge and a Pearl Jam sticker attached. Queries with neighbours revealed that the fruit stand next door had been broken into and had money stolen between 11:30 and 1:30 p.m. that same day. Another neighbour had noticed a dark grey Dodge Caravan parked nearby, perhaps belonging to the suspect.

CRIME: THEFT FROM AUTO

An auto alarm sounded on the 11,000 block of Eva Road in Lake Country at 3:45 a.m. on July 17th. A utilities work truck had been broken into and around $3000 worth of goods stolen including a pair of Bushnell binoculars, a laser range finder, a Garmin GPS unit, a Kenwood radio and a compass.
