CRIME: THEFT FROM GROCERY STORE

On January 3rd the manager of a grocery store located on the 1800 block of Gordon Drive contacted Kelowna RCMP to report a theft that occurred during the lunch hour. An employee watched as a man walked out of the store carrying merchandise that was believed to be unpaid for. Video surveillance was viewed where the man selected three bottles of ice wine and a large quantity of meat before walking out of the store without paying. The man is about 5’10” tall with an average build and was wearing a grey coat, grey pants and brown shoes.

CRIME: BREAK AND ENTER TO GAS STATION

A motion alarm was activated at 11:36 p.m. on January 31st at a gas station located on the 3800 block of Gordon Drive in Kelowna. Police attended and just missed the suspect. Video footage shows that a male approached the business at 11:10 p.m. in a grey Toyota Rav 4, opened a secured gate, departed and returned at 11:30. He then pried open the door and headed to the back of the store, wheeled out a private ATM machine and loaded it into the SUV. He then returned into the building and smashed the cash register, removing 2 tills. The suspect was wearing a bright yellow construction jacket, dark pants, a black and red hat and gloves.
