CRIME:  THEFT OF OUTBOARD MOTOR

DATE:    September 23, 2016

RCMP FILE:  2016-57543

The owner of a stolen boat motor contacted Lake Country RCMP on September 23rd to report the overnight theft.  The motor was removed from a boat parked in the driveway of a residence on the 11,600 block of Jackson Court in Lake Country.  The motor is a black 9.9 hp Mercury outboard with serial number 0A755453 valued at approximately $3000.

CRIME:  MEAT SHOPLIFTER

DATE:    September 28, 2016

RCMP FILE:  2016-58689

Just before 11:00 a.m. on September 28th an employee from the Lake Country IGA reported an unknown female who had attempted to steal a large amount of meat from the store.  The woman was seen on video surveillance placing chips and a number of meat items in a store basket.  When the basket was abandoned with only the chips remaining, staff attempted to stop her when she left the building.  A slight struggle ensued with the woman’s large meat-filled purse being left behind.  The woman fled the scene in a green Ford Taurus driven by an older female.  Please contact Crime Stoppers if you can identify this alleged thief.
