Unsolved Crimes Kelowna

CRIME: Credit Card Theft From Rutland YMCA
DATE: March 22, 2006

While the victims were working out, a thief was breaking in. It happened the morning of March 22 at the YMCA on Hartman Road in Rutland. At 10:30 a.m., the suspect followed his first victim into the locker room, waited for him to leave, then broke into his locker stealing a wallet. The suspect waited a short while for another man to enter and did the same thing. Then he went to Future Shop using the stolen Visas and MasterCard to splurge on a 32” LCD TV and an XBox with all the accessories, totalling over $5,000. The suspect is described as a white male, 35 – 40 years old, 5’ 11” or taller, 175-180 lbs., with a mustache, short brown hair and wearing glasses.

CRIME: Theft of Cash at Chevron Gas
DATE: January 23, 2006

On January 23, a customer at the Dobbin Road Chevron Gas ended up $300 short after he accidentally dropped his money container in the front counter candy bar display without noticing. Shortly afterwards, around 7:30 a.m., a woman entered the store, found the small blue Q-Tip box filled with cash and claimed it as hers. The suspect, who drove a red Mustang, is described as having short blonde hair and was wearing a puffy white coat and dark pants.
