CRIME:  THEFT OF BOAT AND TRAILER

DATE:    June 19, 2016

RCMP FILE:  2016-34011

On June 21st at 9:24 a.m. a man entered the Banner Recreation parking lot on McCurdy Place and walked around a bit before breaking the hitch lock off a 2016 23’ Campion Svfara boat.  He pulled up in a large newer model light coloured SUV, but had some trouble hitching up.  Another male entered the compound in a newer grey hatchback to give him a hand and then both vehicles departed.  The Svfara has hull ID CAQHZV3001C616  and was on a black Phoenix trailer with VIN 5VWBT2227HE009082.  The boat is valued at over $140,000 and the trailer is valued at $8500.

CRIME:  THEFT FROM VEHICLE / FRAUD

DATE:    June 5, 2016

RCMP FILE:  2016-30603

A young woman returned to her silver 2000 Chevy Silverado parked at the Gyro Beach parking lot on Lakeshore Road on June 5th just after 6:00 pm to discover the driver’s door lock had been removed.  Her purse with all her ID and credit card was missing and it was discovered that the credit card had been used at two locations.  RCMP would like to identify and locate this male as a person of interest.
