CRIME:  THEFT OF CATERPILLAR

DATE:    May 23, 2016

RCMP FILE:  2016-27508

A Caterpillar mini excavator was taken from a locked gated compound on Stevens Road in West Kelowna during the early hours of May 23rd.  Video surveillance from a neighbouring business indicates that suspects removed a bolt on the gate to enter the compound and drove out in a light grey or white truck with the excavator on a Vanguard trailer. The Cat is a 303.5 mini excavator and the trailer is a 2005 white Vanguard with BC plate 08151D and VIN 5V8VA532X5M503089.  No VIN is available as of yet for the Caterpillar.

CRIME:  THEFT OF BOAT LEG

DATE:    May 25, 2016

RCMP FILE:  2016-27820

Sometime between September 2015 and May 15, 2016 a boat in storage at Shelter Bay Marina on Campbell Road had the leg stolen.  The 2001 Doral boat had a grey 150 pound Volvo Penta leg valued between $10,000 and $15,000 removed.  The serial number is 4012027559.
