CRIME: VANDALISM TO RESTAURANT

A local West Kelowna restaurant has fallen victim to its fifth file of vandalism in the past year. The Thai Fusion Restaurant located on Louie Drive contacted RCMP at 12:48 a.m. on April 26th; reporting that a suspect smashed three windows, spray painted several other windows and spray painted a message to the owners on the building. Investigators reviewed the video footage which revealed a male wearing a black balaclava, a baseball hat and carrying a baseball bat. The suspect was a passenger in what seems to be a newer model grey Nissan Altima with black wheels.

CRIME: THEFT OF SAWMILL

On May 12th a report was made to West Kelowna RCMP that sometime overnight thieves had entered a property on the 2900 block of Gorman Road and made off with a $30,000 portable sawmill. Police believe the suspects accessed the site by dismantling a lock on the gate, backed up a truck to the 23’ Woodmizer LT25 orange sawmill (that is built onto a trailer) and hauled it away.
