CRIME:  BREAK AND ENTER TO NEW HOMES

DATE:    May 6, 2016

RCMP FILE:  2016-23671, 2016-23675 and 2016-23707

Thieves hit two new subdivisions located off of Okanagan Centre Road West during the early hours of May 6th.  Two homes in their final construction phase on Heritage Court were entered through basement windows and thieves left with a jackpot of appliances.   One home had a fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher and washer and dryer stolen (no details available). 

The other home had stainless steel appliances taken that include:

  • Whirlpool 6 Level Wash Dishwasher (S/N F54218045)
  • Whirlpool 5.3 cubic foot Ceran Range (S/N 54512341)
  • Whirlpool Aqua Lift Convection Range (S/N R45010605)
  • Whirlpool French Door 19.9 cubic foot fridge (S/N K60906226)

Nearby on Marble Ledge Drive a home under construction was entered between May 5th and 6th.  Some stolen tools include a Dewalt ½” mixer drill, a Dewalt wet saw (a sticker on it says Central Electric), an Orcon 4” wet dry grinder, a Rigid 18V screw gun and charger, a Bosche 18V cordless impact drill and a Sigma 24” tile snap cutter.

CRIME:  THEFT OF PETROLEUM PUMP

DATE:    May 7, 2016

RCMP FILE:  2016-23915

A representative from a rental company located on the 2900 block of Robinson Road in Lake Country contacted RCMP on May 7th to report a break and enter and the theft of a $400 petroleum pump.  It appears that someone jumped the fence to steal the General Petroleum 12 Volt pump, hose and nozzle assembly.  They also attempted to take a second one but were unable; resulting in damage to the threads that attach it to the tank.
