CRIME:  THEFTS FROM VEHICLES

DATE:    April 26, 2016

RCMP FILE:  2016-21595, 21600, 21491

Police would like to remind you once again to lock your cars, no matter how safe you think it is.  Thieves hit the Lakes area during the early hours of April 26th and took advantage of at least two unlocked vehicles on Lake Hill Drive.  The vehicles were rummaged through and the thief left with a wallet and a tool box. Nearby, a vehicle parked on the 9000 block of Mountview Road was entered the night before with the thief scoring a radar detector, a change purse containing $40, sunglasses and tools.

CRIME:  COPPER THEFT

DATE:    April 22, 2016

RCMP FILE:  2016-20703

A gravel pit located on Pelmewash Parkway and Gatzke Road in Lake Country was entered overnight between April 21st and 22nd.  Thieves cut a front gate and entered the property in a pickup, loading the truck from multiple locations and leaving with vast quantities of copper wire.
