CRIME:   THEFT OF WALLET

DATE:     January 6, 2016

RCMP FILE:   2016-952

West Kelowna RCMP were called to the Shell Service Station located on the 500 block of Highway 97 South on January 6th around 5:30 p.m. when a man’s wallet was stolen.  The man was paying for some merchandise, set his wallet on the counter where it was snatched by a male standing nearby.  The suspect ran off in the direction of Tim Horton’s.  The wallet contained an Ontario driver’s license, a debit card and other pieces of ID.  Video surveillance was used to obtain photos of the suspect.  The police would like to identify this male as a person of interest.

CRIME:   THEFT FROM TRAILER

DATE:     February 19, 2016

RCMP FILE:   2016-8379

West Kelowna RCMP are looking for witnesses who may have seen a theft from a box trailer parked in front of the Old Cattle Country restaurant on Main Street during the early hours of February 19th.  The trailer contained tools being used to restore the vacant building.  Suspects pried the door open and made off with equipment including:  2 Tiger Vacuums (s/n 14020092 / 13070778), 1 Turtle vacuum (s/n 3510141406157), 2 complete sets of Zip poles, 3 respirator kits in a black carry box, 2 Makita saws, a Rockwell Sonicrafter F50, a Rockwell Versacut circular saw, a Makita 7 ¼ circular saw, a Ryobi 7 ¼ circular saw, a Desco pneumatic needlegun scaler model 40 and a Desco FX scarifier model 110.223.
