CRIME:            MISCHIEF WITH GRAFFITI

DATE:              February 11, 2016

RCMP FILE:     2016-6975

An employee of a furniture store on the 1800 block of Springfield Road called in a complaint of mischief to the Kelowna RCMP on February 11th.  Apparently mischief in the back alley behind the store is frequent, but this time suspects threw a rock into one of the business’s windows ($350 plus to replace) and tagged a wall in the alley as well as the company’s delivery truck.   The City of Kelowna, in partnership with Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers, will pay a $500 reward for any tips leading to the arrest or charges to graffiti suspects.  Graffiti is a crime that costs the citizens of Kelowna hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to remove.

If you know anything about this crime, or any other crime, call the Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tips line at 1-800-222-TIPS or visit our website at www.crimestoppers.net.  Your information will be kept confidential and could lead to a reward of up to $2000.00.

CRIME:            BREAK AND ENTER TO RESIDENCE

DATE:              February 13, 2016

RCMP FILE:     2016-7393

Homeowners from the 1500 block of Mountain Avenue arrived home on February 13th after being away for a few days to discover their front door forced open and some missing possessions.  Neighbourhood enquiries indicate the theft most likely occurred on the morning of February 11th or 12th as a neighbor noticed a white truck with a yellow or orange design on the side and a tall male with dark hair and dark clothes pull into driveway and go into the house.   He stole a 52”Sony KDL52EX700 TV with serial number BDPS370 and several pieces of jewelry from the master bedroom.
