CRIME: THEFT FROM VEHICLE

Sometime between 3:00 and 8:00 a.m. on November 1st a suspect threw a rock through the window of a grey 2013 Hyundai Tucson parked on the 15,000 block of Old Mission Road in Lake Country. The rock created a 15” hole in the rear window of the SUV allowing the thief to steal over $10,000 worth of HVAC equipment. Stolen items include an ASUS laptop (X555LA-BH71-CB), a Fluke 725 process meter (s/n 2343091), a Fluke 1587 insulation meter, an assortment of other Fluke meters and testers, a Dewalt 20V Max cordless hammer drill kit and impact driver kit, Craftsman tools, Greenlee tools and many other tools and instruments utilized by that trade.

On November 1st a woman called to report the theft of a wallet from a vehicle parked at a complex on the 3300 block of Woodsdale Road in Lake Country. She reported that at 4:30 a.m. they had heard a smashing sound outside and the next day discovered the passenger window on their white 2012 GMC Acadia SUV had been smashed with a rock. The thief had reached into the vehicle and taken her black leather Bench wallet located in the centre console. The wallet contained an Alberta driver’s license, credit cards and department store point cards.
