CRIME:   ATTEMPTED THEFT / THEFT OF VEHICLE  

DATE:     October 21, 2015

RCMP FILE:  2015-58886 / 58899

Just before 1:00 a.m. on October 21st a witness reported seeing two people wearing dark hoodies attempting to break into the coin vacuum machine at the Great Canadian Oil Change located on Old Okanagan Highway in West Kelowna.  A vehicle was running in the parking lot and metal was banging and sparks were flying.  RCMP members attended just as the suspects sped away, without the coins.  Another witness was able to obtain a license plate for the vehicle, which turned out to be recently stolen from the 4000 block of Pritchard Drive.  RCMP are looking for the suspects in a stolen orange 2005 Infiniti FX45 with BC license plate number RFTEAM and VIN JNRBS08W55X401375.

CRIME:   THEFT FROM CONSTRUCTION TRAILER                           

DATE:     October 19, 2015

On October 19th a complainant called to report that sometime overnight thieves had entered a construction site located on the 2500 block of Ross Road and broken into a trailer located at the back of the yard.  Bolt cutters were used to break through the temporary fencing and then again to cut the lock on the trailer and steal numerous tools including:  a Dewalt hammer drill (model D25404, s/n 304265), a Hilti circular saw (model SCW18A, s/n 15854), a Hilti cordless impact (model SIW18TA, s/n 8616416),  a Hilti cordless drill (model SFH18A, s/n 8386689), a Ridgid cordless drill (model R8603, s/n CS11024N165133) and a Ridgid cordless drill (model R8641, s/n C211026D218230).
