CRIME: BREAK AND ENTER

DATE: September 28, 2015

RCMP FILE: 2015-54227

A man made a devastating discovery on September 26th when he checked his metal storage container rented from a company on Byland Road (backing on to Constable Neil Bruce soccer fields). Someone had cut through a chain link fence, somehow bypassed alarm motion sensors and managed to break into the container and steal a prized collection of Wayne Gretzky hockey cards, collectable coins and a glass case with carry handle that contained player-signed jerseys from the 2008 and Torino Olympics, two signed Danny Heatley jerseys and two team-signed Ottawa Senators jerseys.

CRIME: MISCHIEF

DATE: September 21, 2015

RCMP FILE: 2015-52767

RCMP received a call reporting a male who was spray painting a stop sign at the Brendalee Road and Bering Road intersection in West Kelowna at 3:22 a.m. on September 21st. Upon attendance, members discovered extensive damage to vehicles, public and private property. Several licence plates were ruined with the brown spray paint on Brendalee Road, Springer Road and Brown Road, over spraying onto the vehicles. A white SUV took the brunt of the damage as the culprit painted the driver’s side and hood as well as the license plate. The suspect is described as a male wearing white pants, white shirt, black hat and black shoes.
