CRIME: BREAK AND ENTER

DATE: April 10, 2015

RCMP FILE: 2015-16944

West Kelowna RCMP were alerted to yet another back window break-in to a home on April 10th. A suspect entered a dwelling on the 900 block of Pinewood Place between 10:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. and left through a back patio door with liquor and jewellery. Six bottles of wine, Grand Marnier and Jose Cuervo tequila were taken along with a men’s gold pendant with a wing design, a men’s gold Timex watch, a gold imitation Rolex watch and a family heirloom Fredericks & Jurgensen silver pocket watch with three keys attached to the chain. The items were probably carried out in a stolen black and green Black Diamond AvaLung backpack. Neighbours noticed a male in a red Dodge pickup truck in the area around the time of the break-in.

CRIME: MISCHIEF

DATE: April 10 & 11, 2015

RCMP FILE: 2015-17072/17133/17140

A few instances of mischief to vehicles were reported on April 10th and 11th in West Kelowna. On April 10th police received a call at 11:50 p.m. that someone had just smashed out windows on a black 2012 Jeep Wrangler parked on the 1200 block of Brentwood Road. On April 11th a report was received of a brown Toyota Sienna minivan parked on the cul-de-sac on Shamrock Drive that had all its windows broken with a piece of concrete during the night. Additionally, a 400 pound secured basketball standard was pushed over onto a 2011 grey Hyundai Elantra at a home on the 1000 block of Hudson Road. The suspects also stole a $5000 grey Diamondback men’s 21 speed mountain bike.
