CRIME: THEFT/ATTEMPTED THEFT OF TRUCKS

DATE: February 22, 2015

RCMP FILE: 2015-8320

Thieves were busy over the February 20 - 22nd weekend stealing and attempting to steal Ford F350 trucks. A black Diesel F350 was stolen in the early hours of February 20th from a home on Falkirk Road. The vehicle, minus tires and rims, was located completely burned out in Coldstream later that day. On February 21st a Ford F350 owner on Hayashi Road contacted RCMP to report he had thwarted the theft of his truck and watched two people flee towards a small pick-up truck. The thieves had damaged the door lock. Just after midnight that same night the thieves were foiled again by the owners of a grey Ford F350 parked on Fordham Avenue. The same suspects fled in a blue Ford Ranger extended cab. The vehicle ignition and passenger side door lock had been damaged. Apparently the thieves were successful in their next attempt as a white F350 was stolen from a home on Portview Court. The truck has an expensive after-market exhaust system and stereo, two-way radio and is slightly lifted with a large winch bumper on the front. It also has after market rims and wheels. The missing truck (shown) has BC license plate number HL0345 and VIN 1FTWW31PX7EA71936.
