CRIME: THEFT FROM TRAILER

A theft was reported from a utility trailer parked on the 1800 block of Rosealee Lane in West Kelowna where most of the homes in the area are under construction. Sometime between 4:00 p.m. on January 23rd and 10:00 a.m. January 26th suspects weakened the hinges of the trailer and pried them off. They made off with a large assortment of air and power tools. Many of the tools were marked with “Innovative Home Construction”. Some of the stolen items include:
- Milwaukee M18 tools such as
- a 1 ½” drill model #2610-20
- Impact drill model 2650-20
- Hackzall reciprocating saw model 2620-20
- ¾” SDS rotary hammer drill with assorted bits in case
- Makita 2.5 Air Compressor Model MAC2400
- Paslode 16 gauge and 23 gauge finishing nailers

The West Kelowna RCMP Detachment was contacted on February 11th regarding a laptop that was stolen out of a School District 23 van parked overnight on the 2300 block of Shannon Woods Drive. The van was locked but there appears to be some scratch marks on the passenger window indicating that thieves used an entry tool to unlock the door. The missing laptop is a black Lenovo 4242-RQ5 with serial number R9E1BDB.
