CRIME: ATTEMPTED FRAUD

On March 17th staff from a local bank contacted RCMP to report an attempted identify theft. The woman shown in the photos had attended the front counter and produced a BC driver’s license in an attempt to access a bank account. The suspect was not able to provide a secondary identification which caused the teller to further investigate. The bank account in question had been closed due to identity theft. The suspect fled on foot while the inquiries were being made.

Kelowna RCMP would like help to obtain the identities of a couple of thugs who assaulted a man on the UBCO campus on Sunday, March 16th. Three men were walking from the UBCO bus stop to their residence at approximately 2:30 AM when two men in a group of intoxicated individuals started yelling racially derogatory comments. One of the drunk men grabbed the victim by the collar but the victim pushed back and walked away. The man continued to follow and verbally berate him. As they were walking up the stairs behind the Kalamalka Building he approached again and punched him in the face. The suspect is described as a skinny Caucasian male, 5’11” tall with brown hair, facial stubble and was wearing an orange ball cap and a dark shirt.
