CRIME: PEDESTRIAN HIT AND RUN

DATE: October 17, 2013

RCMP FILE: 2013-59080

RCMP are still trying to locate the suspect responsible for a pedestrian hit and run that occurred on the 1600 block of Verdure Road in Black Mountain on October 30th, 2013. A woman driving to the store came upon a couple laying and moaning in the ditch just before 8:00 PM that night. The last thing the injured man could recall was walking with his back to traffic, hearing a vehicle approach from behind, and then turning around to see headlights coming at them. The police would like to hear from any witnesses to the accident, or anyone who has knowledge on the suspect.

CRIME: ROBBERY WITH WEAPONS

DATE: March 6, 2014

RCMP FILE: 2014-11118

Just after midnight on March 6th Kelowna RCMP received a hold up alarm from the Mac’s Convenience Store on the 2000 block of Richter Street. Two young males had entered the store, threatened the clerk with a knife and a gun, took an assortment of money, cigarettes and food before pepper-spraying the clerk and fleeing. Suspect # 1 was a slim 5’9” tall male wearing a dark toque, grey and black checkered jacket, black pants, black and white gloves and was wearing a white face covering. He carried a patterned backpack. The second suspect was also slim and approximately 5’9” tall; wearing a black jacket, black ski mask and had a black and green bag.
