RCMP FILE: 2013-71826/71669

The residents of a home in Joe Riche came home from Christmas holidays to find their house had been broken into and robbed. The front door window of the home on the 1800 block of Cardinal Creek Road was smashed and the house was thoroughly gone through. The suspects got away with a 24” Apple IMac computer (s/n YM8334VUZE4), a vintage Gecado .22 calibre revolver (s/n 75803) a Sony video camera, a non-firing replica of an 1860 Colt Army revolver, Bushnell 10 X 50 binoculars and cash. An assortment of jewellery was also stolen, including silver Haida Native Relief carvings, an Alaska black diamond necklace, silver bracelets and a carved scarab bug.

A window of a Ford F150 at another address on Cardinal Creek Road was smashed on the 30th of December. Thieves took a Rossignol snowboard, snowboard boots, North Face pants and other personal accessories.

RCMP FILE: 2013-51174

A vehicle parked in a secure underground parkade on the 3000 block of Via Centrale in Quail Ridge was broken into during the early hours of September 7, 2013. The thief got away with a purse, suitcases, CD’s and insurance papers. That same day a bank card from the purse was utilized to withdraw a large amount of cash from an ATM located in Orchard Park Mall. Police are looking to talk to this unidentified man as a person of interest.
