CRIME: THEFT OF QUADS

DATE: October 18, 2013

RCMP FILE: 2013-59147

Residents of a home on the 3200 block of Preston Road in West Kelowna filed a report of stolen ATVs on October 18, 2013. The quads were on a trailer in the yard the evening of October 17th but sometime overnight were rolled off the trailer they were stored on. Thieves took a 2006 black and grey Polaris Sportsman 500(VIN 4XAMH50A96B703729) and a 2005 black and grey Polaris Sportsman 800 (VIN 4XAMH76A75A610988). The 500 cc machine has after-market bumper bars installed on both sides, side hill bar on handle and a small hole drilled on right side of the dash.

CRIME: THEFTS FROM VEHICLES

DATE: October 18 – 21, 2013

RCMP FILE: 2013-59116/59580/59590/59716

There were several break and enters to vehicles reported to West Kelowna RCMP over the October 18th to 21st weekend. On October 18th residents of a home on the 3200 block of Carre Road were woken by a car alarm. Thieves had used a pick axe to break the windows of a 2011 Dodge Ram and a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. Glove box items were strewn around and the contents of a wallet stolen.

On October 20th, thieves broke through a chain link fence at a tow yard on Juliann Road. Culprits entered several vehicles but only some golf clubs are believed to be missing.

That same day another theft was reported from a 2011 Ford Motorhome parked on the 3300 block of Old Okanagan Highway. Thieves stole a 19” Jensen LCD TV, a Grundig hand crank storm radio, an Apple TV Box, some food and winter clothing.

On October 21st the owner of a Oakland 5th wheel travel trailer parked at the same address on Old Okanagan Highway reported that there were items missing from the trailer – a pair of Carl Zeiss binoculars, walkie talkies, an Eddie Bauer backpack, a Penelton black felt hat, a blood pressure cuff, an LED flashlight and a digital alarm clock.
