Coffee Break: Busker sings a song

"Busking" is the practice of performing in public places for tips and gratuities. People engaging in this practice are called "buskers" or "street performers".

The Kelowna Buskers Program is a year-round program that welcomes and encourages local and touring, professional and amateur, buskers to perform their fun art form. Buskers may do anything that will entertain people such as mime, physical comedy, juggling, puppetry, playing an instrument, or singing.

The program runs year-round from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, seven days a week, and features a variety of designated "Busk Stop" locations in Kelowna's downtown core, along the waterfront walkways, City Park, throughout the Cultural District, and new locations added in 2011 in Kelowna's South Pandosy area.
