Police block off Davies Crescent in Peachland.
RCMP were called to Davies Crescent in Peachland after reports of a man in his 50s was making threats to harm himself.
Police went to the person's home where he made reference to a bomb and he appeared to have wires in his hands. The RCMP then evacuated 12 to 15 houses in the neighbourhood.
The man was in the house alone. His family was contacted and they talked with the man who eventually was taken into custody peacefully.
The event started at around 4:45 p.m., the man was taken away just before 6:30 Thursday night.
Police now do not believe there was a bomb.
