Central Okanagan
Power doused in pockets of Okanagan
Several thousand customers are without power around the Central Okanagan as a result of three separate power outages.
FortisBC advises Joe Rich and Big White are both without power due to high winds in the area.
A tree fell on a power line knocking out power to about 1,500 customers. Power is expected to be restored about 11 a.m.
Portions of downtown Kelowna are also without power after an excavator hit a pole.
No word on when that outage will be resolved.
A third outage is affecting the North Glenmore area.
No cause has been determined and no restoration time has been determined.
