Body of Lake Country hunter found
The search for Tracy De Montezuma, the 52-year-old Lake Country resident who had been missing since September 29, 2012 after he departed for an evening hunting trip ended at approximately 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
De Montezuma's remains were located by Search and Rescue a short distance from where he had left his vehicle in the general vicinity of Wilma Lake.
His family, many of whom were on hand assisting with the search, have been notified.
De Montezuma was reported missing Sunday.
He left the previous day for the evening but had not returned.
In addition to teams from Vernon, Kamloops, Kelowna and several other Okanagan communities, specialized trackers, three dog teams and an RCMP helicopter took part in the search.
