Aug 21, 2012 / 9:25 pm
A head-on collision between two trucks injured six people, one of which had to be flown to Kelowna General Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The Joe Rich Fire Department reports they were called out at 5:51 p.m., Tuesday night.
When they arrived, they discovered one person was trapped after the pick-up truck he was travelling in collided with a pick-up truck pulling a motor home on Highway 33 east of Joe Rich.
Fire officials say the truck pulling the motor home had five people aboard and all escaped with non life threatening injures.
The single occupant of the second vehicle was trapped in the wreckage.
Joe Rich Fire Department personnel used the jaws of life along with other tools to free the man.
He was then flown via air ambulance to KGH.
People report report traffic was stopped for over an hour.
