Road conditions cause havoc

UPDATED: 8 a.m.

Emergency crews were called out throughout the night to more than a dozen motor vehicle accidents around the Central Okanagan.

No serious injuries have been reported.

Road conditions today will remain sloppy with limited traction as the temperature continues to hover around the freezing mark.

Highway 6, east of Vernon, is open for single lane traffic and road crews hope to have it cleared later this morning.

Could be a busy night for emergency and road crews throughout the Southern Interior and around the Province.

Emergency crews were called to a  motor vehicle accident late Saturday afternoon in the Glenrosa subdivision around the intersection of Glenrosa and Gates rd.

Highway 6 was closed  14K east of Vernon for several hours on Saturday but is now open to single lane traffic

Drive BC warns drivers that fluctuating temperatures are creating very slick road conditions as the temperature falls below freezing level.
