Crime spree in Joe Rich

RCMP are looking for your assistance into a recent rash of daytime break-ins.

Back on Wednesday, Aug 27, police responded to three daylight break ins in the Huckleberry and Jack Pine road areas of Joe Rich.

The neighbourhood was targeted by thieves sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Police says suspects were able to gain entry to all three homes through either unsecured windows and a locked front door.

Inside, thieves targeted cash, jewellery, passports, bikes, golf clubs, computers and electronics.

Also stolen from the area was a White BMW X3.

It is unknown at this time how many suspects were involved, however considering the time spent in the rural area and what was taken, Police believe there was more than one person or vehicle involved.

On the same day, an abandoned stolen vehicle was located in the area that may be related to the thefts.

A grey 1997 Honda CRV was located on Jack Pine road with fresh damage to the driver’s side quarter panel.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP, Cst. B. LANE at 250-762-3300.  Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, online or text to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
