Hwy. 33 crash zone cleared

UPDATE 3:50 P.M.

According to DriveBC the accident zone on Highway 33 north of Beaverdell has now be completely cleared and traffic is flowing again in both directions.

The Highway was closed in both directions at about 8:30 Monday morning after a logging truck went onto its side.

Reports indicate there were no injuries.

UPDATE 2:30 P.M.

Traffic remains slow moving along Highway 33 north of Beaverdell.

The highway remains single lane alternating after a logging truck flipped on its side, spilling its load.

There were no injuries reported.

UPDATE 10:16 A.M.

According to DriveBC, Highway 33 is now reduced to single lane alternating traffic 20km north of Beaverdell.

The road was closed due to a traffic collision about 8:30 Monday morning.

No word when the road will be completely re-opened.

Highway 33 is closed in both directions 20 km north of Beaverdell.

DriveBC says the road is closed because of Vehicle Incident.

No detours available.

Estimated time of opening to single lane alternating traffic is 10:30 a.m.
