Female fraudster on spree

Kelowna RCMP are asking the public to help identify a female fraudster allegedly responsible for thousands of dollars in fraudulent credit card charges over the past few months.

Police believe a dark-haired Caucasian woman, who stars in surveillance videos from numerous locations in the Central Okanagan, to be one person making purchases with stolen credit cards.

Police have opened at least six investigations involving thefts from vehicles and subsequent frauds, and say there are likely more that have not yet been linked.

The frauds have racked up several thousand dollars already, and continue to increase the longer the suspect goes unidentified.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian female
  • Slim build
  • Long black hair, usually tied back in a pony tail
  • Late 20s or early 30s

Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300. Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leaving a tip online or by texting your tip to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
