Missing senior

The Chilliwack RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing elderly man who may be in the interior of BC.

William Mooney (Bill),  was last seen on May 1, at a credit union on Cheam Avenue in Chilliwack.  Police and family members are concerned for Mooney’s physical and mental health.

Mooney is an 89-year-old Caucasian man from Chilliwack who is described as:

  • 5’7” tall
  • 165 lbs
  • Balding with white hair on the sides
  • Last seen wearing a short sleeve checkered shirt and faded grey work pants

According to Cst. Tracy Wolbeck, Mooney left his residence on Young Road in his vehicle, a red 2009 Mazda pickup truck with chrome running boards. The licence plate on his truck is British Columbia 5064LV.

“Family members have reason to believe Mooney could be in the Interior region of BC,” says Wolbeck.

Anyone with any information regarding William Mooney is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP immediately at 604 792-4611.
