Teen lost in crash named

5:55 p.m. May 4, update: Hwy. 97 traffic is being rerouted around the crash site, but it is moving very slowly.

An air ambulance was used to transport one of the victims to hospital. The coroner was also called to the scene.

4:19 p.m. original story: Hwy. 97 is at a standstill in Oyama after a multi-vehicle accident shut down traffic.

Emergency crews are on the scene and tarps are being laid down. 

Crews arrived just after 4:00 p.m. 

Early reports indicate at least four people were injured and two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision. 

Witnesses say some traffic is moving northbound as of 4:20 p.m. but the highway is totally blocked southbound. 

Southbound traffic is backed up on Hwy. 97 to the Predator Ridge exit but southbound traffic is starting to divert around the accident via Crystal Waters.
