Street sweeping underway

Street sweeping is already underway in the Central Okanagan as the City of Kelowna prepares to clean up debris left over from winter.

Residents are being asked to move their vehicles and sports equipment (such as basketball hoops and hockey nets) away from the road to allow for the sweeping to take place.

This will remove the dirt and sand that has accumulated on city streets and bike lanes left over from winter sanding.

Signs will be placed in each neighbourhood 24 hours prior to any sweeping in order to notify residents.

If it rains, sweeping will be postponed until the roads are dry.

More information can be found on the city website.
