Increase in theft from vehicles

An alarming spike in the number of thefts or attempted thefts from vehicles has Lake Country RCMP advising the public to be more vigilant.

Over the past few weeks there has been a noticeable rise in the areas of:

  • Darlene Road
  • Hallam Road
  • Roberts Road
  • Pretty Road

Items stolen include purses, wallets, credit cards, personal identification, keys, cash, clothing, sunglasses, and hand tools.

Residents are cautioned to park their vehicles in visible, well-lit areas near pedestrian traffic.

People are advised to not leave any valuables in their vehicles.

They are also asked to report any suspicious persons or activities to police.
