Two women sent to hospital after crash
A 33 year old Lake Country woman and a 55 year old Vernon woman were sent to hospital late Friday afternoon following a two vehicle crash along Highway 97 in Lake Country.
On January 10, 2014 at 3:48 pm, Lake Country RCMP received a report of a two vehicle collision, with suspected injuries, at the intersection of Highway 97 and Oceola Road.
A northbound white pick-up truck apparently hit a blue passenger car which was reportedly completing a left hand turn into the north bound lanes of the highway from Oceola Road.
The driver of the blue passenger carr narrowly escaped serious injury as her vehicle sustained significant damage to the passenger side.
Police continue to investigate this crash. Neither speed nor alcohol are considered to be contributing factors, and no charges have yet been laid.
