Icy roads take more cars off the road
Icy roads continue to plague Okanagan drivers leading to terrifying slips and slides all over the place.
Hwy. 97C saw several accidents today sending cars sliding into ditches along the highway, unable to slow down on the slick roads.
Locally snowy skid marks show the path of a near miss for a vehicle and a fire hydrant on Brentwood Road at Ross Road in West Kelowna, the stop sign was clipped.
Also earlier today (Thursday) the vehicle below's front wheel came loose while the car fortunately skidded to a stop just before heading over an embankment on Hwy. 97 just north of Elk Road.
