Road and Weather Report
Update - 9:30 a.m.
Highway 1 has now been re-opened to traffic.
Motorists travelling east on Highway 1 will face some delays this morning.
Avalanche control is being done between Revelstoke and Three Valley Gap from 8-10 a.m. Monday morning and the road will be closed in both directions.
In addition to the road closure, DriveBC is reporting compact snow and slippery sections at various spots along the route and some construction delays just north of Armstrong.
There is limited visibility due to fog being reported on the Okanagan Connector near Brenda Mine, in addition to more compact snow and slippery sections along that route to the coast. Compact snow and slush can also be found on the Coquihalla, south of Merritt.
There are no weather alerts in the province, but Environment Canada is calling for a 70 per cent chance of snow or rain in the Central Okanagan today.
Tuesday will start off cloudy with 30 per cent chance of flurries, followed by a mix of sun and cloud.
Christmas Day looks to be cloudy with no precipitation expected at this time.
