Lake Country pilot killed in crash

A Lake Country man was at the helm of a Cessna float plane that crashed at Potts Lagoon on West Cracroft Island last Thursday.
The BC Coroners Service has confirmed Kevin Roger Williams, 42, of Lake Country was at the controls of the Air Cab Cessna 185 float plane when it went down, killing all three men on board.
The passengers have been identified as Frederick Gerald Cecil Wiley, 40, from Merville on Vancouver Island and Norman Slavik, 59, of Surrey.
The two passengers had chartered the plane to take them from Port McNeil to a logging operation on West Cracroft Island.
All three men died on impact.
The BC Coroners Service, Transportation Safety Board and WorkSafeBC are all investigating the incident.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
