Weekend road report
Oct 11, 2013 / 7:44 am
Motorists planning on traveling somewhere for the Thanksgiving long weekend will have mixed results, depending on where they are going.
The roads are mainly clear towards Vancouver, with no problems reported on the Coquihalla or the Okanagan Connector, but numerous construction sites will slow those people travelling north towards Alberta or Kamloops.
Winter tires are also mandatory on many of the major highways now, and vehicles may be turned back if caught travelling on summer tires.
Environment Canada is calling for mainly clear skies over the next three days with no precipitation and daytime highs in the mid-teens and lows down to the freezing mark.
