Hot Idol contestant hijacks Soup

I’m back from a very busy week in Hollywood, where I figure we probably spent about 30% of our time in the car. If you ever feel traffic here in the Okanagan is an issue, spend a few days in Los Angeles and your gripes are sure to diminish.

I’ve got a lot of footage to share with you in upcoming editions of Celebrity Soup, but I thought I’d start this week with an exclusive Idol interview with Hollie Cavanagh. If you’ve been following my American Idol coverage this year, you’ll recall that my choice for the Idol with the best chance of chart success would have been Hollie.

I still think she’s got the whole package that the music-buying public wants. Cavanagh finished fourth, but then again, so did Chris Daughtry. So you never know…

Here is my interview with Hollie, which she gracefully granted me as a special after-red-carpet request, where she was able to speak a bit more freely without all the other media crowding around. If you missed my post from last week, I mentioned how we were packed like sardines with only about 4 or 5 feet between each media outlet. Castanet was placed right beside E!, Access Hollywood, and MTV News. Pretty cool!
