In Monday’s edition of Celebrity Soup, I brought up Rihanna’s penchant for playing a modified version of patty cake patty cake with her crotchal area while performing on Saturday Night Live. Only a few days have passed and already RiRi has turned the other cheek and is now grabbing her backside for an impromptu photo shoot.

“Check out what me and @Terry_World do in 10 mins after work #impromptuS—,” the 24-year-old pop star tweeted.

Terry Richardson, a famous fashion photographer, became somewhat of a superhero last week when he released a video of swimsuit model Kate Upton gyrating in a skimpy bikini.

The Barbadian beauty, who is about to hit the big screen with Battleship, will be making another appearance on a live TV show later this month. She’ll be singing her current single, “Where Have You Been,” during the bound-to-be-overlong American Idol finale on May 23rd.

Whether you’re a fan of her music or not, you can’t deny the hotness emanating from these photos.

Still, you’ve got to wonder what’s behind Rihanna’s ostensible need to consistently expose herself. I know she’s only 24, and being single is probably fun for her, but you’d think that maybe she’d want to settle down just a little bit and have a normal relationship.

The fact that she remains on a friendly basis with Chris Brown is mind-boggling, and does not make a good statement in any way, shape or form. But who am I to even attempt psychoanalysis on this girl, especially with all these guys yelling at their computers for me to shut up and get to the photos already?

It’s impossible for me not to bring this up, nor hide my sense of unadulterated Schadenfreude with news that Kim Kardashian was banned from the big MET fashion gala.

While most news is either sad or infuriating, it’s a breath of fresh air when we get a piece like this that just brightens the day.

Why was Kim banned from the Gala? Well, apparently Anna Wintour (fashion guru, editor of Vogue magazine and subject of The Devil Wears Prada) ruminates back to a simpler time, where being a celebrity was all regal and classy, and where one’s sexual dalliances weren’t meant for public exposure all for the sake of fame.

The RadarOnline report states:

Anna hates Kim,” a source says. “Why would she be invited to the event? It is all the biggest stars in the world and Kim doesn’t fit that bill at all.”

“The Met Gala is $25,000 a ticket, but Kim can’t even buy her way in, Anna Wintour does NOT want her there!” the source says.
Kim and her very pregnant sister Kourtney Kardashian were snapped on Monday running errands in Los Angeles, and the source says she’ll likely try and justify her absence.
“Kim and her camp will deny that she wasn’t invited by saying that she had business in L.A., but that is a lie,” the source says. “She would of done anything to be there with all the A-listers.”

And with that, at least for now, the world is a better place.
