Sandra Bullock movie set meltdown

Sandra Bullock is supposed to be America’s Sweetheart. So what’s she doing on the set of her upcoming film The Proposal dropping f-bombs like she’s Christian Bale? She even threatens Ryan Reynolds: “America’s Sweetheart is gonna –bleep- you up!” And it’s all caught on video.

Oh, how I wish it were for real. But alas, it’s all in the name of comedy as Bullock, Reynolds, and even Betty White do a piece for website Funnyordie.com. The foul language, which occurs in abundance, is bleeped out. This can either be a good or bad thing, depending if you’re at work or not. I was hoping to find an uncensored version of this, but I don’t think it exists.

Best line? When Bullock says that she’s “smiled a lot of smiles and eaten a lot of –bleep- to be on this road so I can –bleep- with mother-bleepers- who –bleep- with me.

You gotta watch it. And seeing Betty White swearing never gets old, either.

Living with Jesse James will do that to your vocabulary

How Kris Allen won Idol

Were you shocked last night when Kris Allen beat out Adam Lambert to win American Idol? I wasn’t shocked, though I was disappointed. Each time they took the stage together, Lambert outperformed winner Allen. So why didn’t Adam win?

Some may say that it’s a gay vs. Christian thing, but I think that would be over analyzing it. The New York Daily News has a piece on why Allen won, and I agree with them that it just boils down to the lowest common denominator. When Lambert goes for it, he really goes for it and you’re either going to love him or hate him. When Allen fails, it’s not going to upset as many people. And Kris is a safe vote.

A lot of people in the media are dissing Kris Allen, calling him innocuous, dull, bland, etc. While I would agree with them a month ago (and you can go back to my columns from that time where I was hating on him as much as anyone), I believe Kris Allen has grown significantly over the last few weeks. His rendition of Heartless still stands out as one of the best performances on Idol this year, and anyone who can pull that off has got to have SOMETHING right.

As for last night’s show, it was much better than I expected. Ratings for the show, however, were down 12% from last year's finale among the 18-49 demo and down 9% in total viewers.

The musical guests were pretty solid, especially Fergie/Black Eyed Peas, Santana, KISS, and Queen. Adam sounded INCREDIBLE with both KISS and Queen, and I’ve even heard rumors that Queen has asked Adam to perform with them as their lead singer (not sure how true this is). The only true disappointment was Rod Stewart, who must have had a clause in his contract that prevented any of the Idols from singing with him so as to not upstage his terrible voice. He should not be singing anymore.

A few random thoughts:
  • HD is not Fergie’s friend. Butterface strikes again.
  • Who knew Kara a) could sing, and b) had such a hot body? Wow.
  • Bikini Girl didn’t need anything new up there.
  • Norman Gentle would have made a good American Idol winner.
  • Tatiana Del Toro may be a better singer than Bikini Girl, but she loses in the acting department.
  • Kate Gosselin’s (Jon and Kate plus 8) hairdo made two appearances last night: on Queen Latifah and David Cook. This is a very disturbing trend.

Back to Adam and Kris… Both have a great shot at building on this current fame and making strong careers for themselves. I can also pretty much guarantee that at least one of them will become the most successful male Idol in history, as time goes on. I just wish I knew which one.

    The Kris Allen conspiracy theories?

The Insider has all the backstage interviews that took place after the show last night. Nothing earth-shattering here, but worth it if you’re a fan.

Aww, shucks, did I really win? Golly gee, Wally.

    Fitty Cent and Bette Midler???

Say what? Spotted on Tuesday walking arm in arm, was the unlikely couple Fifty Cent and Better Midler. Can someone please explain what these two were doing together? Is a musical duet in the cards for these two? If so, can’t wait!

Lindsay Lohan now stalking Samantha Ronson

Apparently, Lindsay is still not over her breakup with DJ Samantha Ronson, and has taken to stalking her at her house. Perez Hilton reports that according to the paparazzi, a reportedly drunken Lohan camped outside Ronson's house around 2:30 am Wednesday morning waiting for Ronson to return! Lindsay was manic as ever, going from crying to smiling and flirty in a matter of seconds until Ronson showed up.

All the recent pictures of Lindsay show her looking rather, err, unsober. Is Lindsay Lohan becoming the new Amy Winehouse? I’d like to keep poking fun at her, but it’s almost beyond the point of being funny and is really just sad.

Rehab for Lohan? Yes, yes, yes.

Lohan quickly tires of meat, back to fish

Kate Gosselin needs to SHUT. UP.

Is there anyone out there left who feels sorry for Kate Gosselin? She’s becoming one of the biggest media whores by taking interview after interview, complaining more and more with each successive chat. In a recent People interview, Gosselin complains that the tabloids are making her life a living hell. Sorry, Female Mullet Woman, nobody’s feeling sorry for you.

And, as much as TLC is salivating over the ratings potential for next Monday’s season premiere of Jon and Kate Plus 8, it’s only a matter of time before the show’s demographic grows tired of watching a marriage that is nothing like it’s portrayed to be for the show. Reality TV this is not.

The Wrap has a great story on how Jon and Kate have effectively killed the feel-good supersized family genre.

Jon and Kate plus... Oh, just shut the show down already
