It's a busy time of year at the Kelowna Food Bank and volunteers are trying their best to make sure Christmas hampers will be ready in time.
Lenetta Parry says the hampers are filled with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables along with a turkey.
"Families can also visit our Christmas room, where they can choose a present for a loved one."
Parry says Christmas time can cause extra stress on people who are trying to make ends meet, and the Food Bank can help families alleviate any burden.
"We are expecting about 1,000 children to come and pay a visit to our Christmas room this year."
Last year the Food Bank delivered 839 Christmas Hampers, but according to Parry that number is up this year and more donations are needed.
