Stabbing victims remembered
The five victims of Calgary's worst mass murder were remembered as bright young people who were loyal friends and had a bright future ahead of them.
Jordan Segura, Zackariah Rathwell, Josh Hunter, Lawrence Hong and Kaiti Perras were all at a house party marking the end of classes at the nearby University of Calgary two weeks ago.
They were attacked and stabbed to death by another party-goer.
Family and friends paid tribute to the victims at a memorial service organized by the university.
Nicki Perras remembered her sister as a mentor who was always trying to teach her to dance, and when she finished, four ballet dancers from Kaiti Perras' dance troupe performed on stage.
Throughout the service the 500 people attending would hold up cardboard hearts with the names of the five victims.
