Arrest made in university shooting

Toronto Police say they've arrested a man in relation to a shooting at York University a week ago.

Two female students were injured in the incident that took place at a student centre food court late on March 6.

Twenty-two-year-old Kemon Edwards is facing multiple charges, including discharging a firearm and aggravated assault.

Police have said they don't believe the two women who were shot were targeted.

One woman was shot in the leg and was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A second woman was injured by shrapnel.

The north Toronto university said it had taken several measures to "enhance safety" on campus in the aftermath of the shooting, which included increasing security patrols.
