Okanagan College Media Release

Students hesitant about making the big leap into post-secondary school can get all their tough questions answered at a special presentation being held at the Vernon campus of Okanagan College.

Spring into College takes place Tuesday, May 29 at 4:30 p.m. in the Vernon Campus Lecture Theatre, Room D310.

The one-hour presentation will give high school students, parents and adult learners a chance to find out about everything from questions about financial aid and how to access bursaries, to how to navigate through enrolment.

The presentation also covers:
- how to begin a degree at Okanagan College and transfer later to other universities in Canada
- how to apply online
- the ins and outs of the student loan process, plus
- unique programs offered at the Vernon campus

Spring into College also features stories about College grads who went on to enjoy successful careers – from trades to prominent positions in corporate Canada.

“It’s not too late to apply for programs that begin this fall and make a difference for your future,” said Jane Lister, Regional Dean of the North Okanagan Region.

Application fees will be waived for those who choose to apply while at the session.

To register for the event, contact Tawnya Cameron at 250-545-7291 ext. 2309 or [email protected].
