Experts list for 2018 Winter Olympics

The PyeongChang Winter Olympics 2018 begin on Feb. 9. Thompson Rivers University has compiled a list of experts who can speak to the media on a number of Olympics-related topics.

They are:

Anne Terweil

Anne has been involved in Olympic research since the Beijing Games in 2008. She worked in Beijing in the lead up to the Games in 2007 and then again in 2008, and was involved in research in 2010 at the Games in Vancouver/Whistler, as well as working as a volunteer throughout both the Olympics and Paralympics.

She worked with the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee as a member of a panel of experts on Olympic volunteer recruitment and management, and was in Sochi five times prior to the Games, as well as during the Games.

She is part of a research team that looked at volunteer training, management and legacy at the 2010 (Vancouver), 2012 (London), 2014 (Sochi) and 2016 (Rio) Olympics. Part of the team is heading to Korea for the upcoming Games.

And she is the mother of an Olympic athlete, Elli Terwiel, who competed in 2014.
