14 presenters for 3MT western final

Fourteen graduate students are at TRU this week vying for the opportunity to represent their university at the national Three Minute Thesis competition.

The students will present their research before a live audience and a three-person panel of non experts. Presenters will have three minutes to succinctly present their findings and in such a manner understandable to the audience and judges.

Presentations start at 2 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre located in Old Main. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

Among the finalists is TRU Biological Sciences student Kristen Marini. “Living in the Ghetto: Effects of city life on chickadees” is the title of her presentation.
