CBC Radio’s Sunday Edition to feature women in trades

Tawney part of CBC Radio documentary

Tawney Fortier is graduate of TRU’s Women in Trades Initiative and is among those featured in a CBC Radio documentary for the show “The Sunday Edition”.

CBC Radio One radio show “The Sunday Edition”, will feature TRU and women in trades on June 15 sometime between 10 and 11am.

The documentary created by Karin Wells is called “More of an Equal than a Girl” and features

  • Chelsea Card and Gillian Sparks, welding students
  • Amy Schellenburg, electrical instructor
  • Abby Marchand and Tawney Fortier, Women in Trades Initiative graduates
  • Heather Hamilton, manager of Industry and Training at TRU
  • Lindsay Langill, Dean of TRU’s School of Trades and Technology
